Are you trying to spice up your jungle life? Well, this article covers the top 10 best off meta junglers to help make your jungling exciting.

Jungling can sometimes become boring, especially if playing the same champion repeatedly, so this is why these off-meta Junglers will give a new turn to your jungling experience, especially if you are playing with your friends.

League of Legends’ META consists of four lanes and five roles. For example, the role for the mid lane is typically occupied by a mage or an assassin, while the bottom lane , should have a damage-dealing marksman and an enchanting support and the top layer should be a tank.

Multitudes of champions with different abilities also help support this META. Going against this meta and playing champions not meant for their role is called off-meta. With all of this being said, let’s take a look at the 10 best off meta junglers in League of Legends!

10. Invisible Teemo

Invisible Teemo is a great champion pick which makes him one of the best off-meta junglers in Season 10

Do you want to completely destroy the enemy Jungler’s experience? Then lock in Teemo Jungle and walk into the enemy jungle and HIDE. Wait for them to come and simply kill the jungle monster in the last second and then kill the enemy Jungler too.

If you have a good Jungling sense, then you can keep repeating this in the different parts of the jungle to make the enemies’ life miserable. Teemo works extremely well as an off meta jungler because he can set up ganks like no one else, going invisible in the middle of the lane and re-appearing once the enemy has crossed you is definitely tilting, especially if done on repeat.

9. Brand

Even though he's not a popular pick, Brand is a strong off-meta pick in the jungle

Brand might seem completely off-meta and not viable in the jungle at all because you never see any mages in the jungle, but if you choose to try him out, you’ll be surprised. You may think that his clear is bad, but with the activation of his Passive on jungle monsters, clearing is quite easy.

Ganking is also quite simple because of his sh*t ton of damage, so you don’t need to worry about his viability. Brand’s stun also helps to set up ganks quite easily, which means that you can do very well with Brand being one of your off meta jungle picks.

8. Twitch

Twitch has become a very popular off-meta jungle pick in the Season of League of Legends. He's been doing really great in the jungle thanks to his stealthy Q

Twitch might not seem that off-meta considering he works really well in the Jungle, but he is still an off meta jungle pick. You barely see any Twitch jungle players anymore but when you do, they carry the game. Twitch clear is kinda tricky because you need to make sure you kite while clearing to stay healthy, but apart from that he is solid.

His level 2 ganks with his invisibility is almost always a kill and apart from level 2, he can simply walk to any lane with his invisibility and pick-up free kills from everywhere. Not only this, but he also turns into a hyper carry late game as he can almost one-shot their whole team if positioned right.

7. AP Nunu

Full AP Nunu is a fun-to-play off-meta jungle pick. You'll definitely have a lot of fun if you choose him!

If you are talking about off meta junglers, then AP Nunu is the definition of off-meta. Imagine rolling down the river with the largest snowball ever and one-shotting the enemy. Imagine hiding in a bush and charging your Ultimate when an enemy walks by and they die immediately without knowing how or why they died.

All this is possible by our beloved and dear, AP Nunu. If you combine AP Nunu with a Ryze on your team, you can definitely make some very interesting plays with the combination of both your Ultimates.

6. River Shen

Shen is one of the oldest League of Legends champions. He has always been a great pick for top lane or support, but you should really try him out as River Shen in jungle

Shen is one of the games’ oldest champions and, unlike other more popular new champions, does not see much gameplay. It is almost rare to see a Shen during a match and, when he is chosen, he is typically used as a tank support or tank top lane. But River Shen is another story.

River Shen creates its own role, play style, and even lane. The strategy is just to stay on the map’s river, gank a lane, and kill the opponent. To do this successfully, summoner spells used should be ignite and smite. You can easily do ganks with Shen thanks to his Taunt (E).

5. Talon

Top 10 Best Off-Talon Meta Junglers in League of Legends (Updated)

While he’s technically in the meta, Talon enjoyed a big rise in pick rate during season 12. While his clear speed wasn’t traditionally the fastest by a long shot, recent buffs that increase his effectiveness in the jungle have turned him into an excellent pick.

One of the scariest things about a Talon in the jungle is the fact that he can basically come out of nowhere. Talon is, for the most part, a true assassin in-game. Assassin’s Path, even at level 1, is a skill that can seriously be abused throughout the map. In fact, few champions in the game, if any,  can vault through walls as effectively as Talon.

Much like Zed, he is a champion who can delete enemy squishies easily with his full combo. When you carefully plan your route of engagement with Assassin’s Path, you can swoop in, eliminate an enemy champion, then vault right back out. In the very worst-case scenario, Talon can use his ultimate, Shadow Assault, to escape.

4. Karthus

Karthus Top 10 Best Off-Meta Junglers in League of Legends (Updated)

Yes. This exists. The value of picking Karthus as a jungler comes from Karthus being able to clear camps quickly. As such, he is almost always ahead of the enemy jungler when it comes to raw farming speed. This is mostly thanks to his Q and E abilities, Lay Waste and Defile, both of which cause AoE damage. These 2 alone make clearing the smaller camps a lot quicker.

While Defile does restore mana per kill, this works better in mid than in the jungle. As such, Karthus is still very dependent on blue buff, especially early on in the game. This makes him a little bit predictable in terms of where he starts and where he goes every time it spawns. When he does go for a gank, his Wall of Pain lowers enemy magic resistance and slows down enemy champions, perfect regardless of whether or not the lane you’re ganking has an AP-dependent champion.

Karthus is slow and has no real escape. Not too many traditional junglers are plagued by this weakness. However, his passive ability Death Defiled ensures Karthus doesn’t become completely useless when he’s caught out of position or targeted. Sure, in the lane, walking away from his skillshot range is a quick fix, but it’s a much harder feat to achieve in the middle of a clash when spells are flying left and right.

Lastly, his ultimate Requiem gets rid of those pesky low health enemies who try to flee in an attempt to survive. It is the skill that makes Karthus so infamous. Karthus also being relatively easy to pick up and play makes him a great addition to this list.

3. Nidalee

Nidalee Top 10 Best Off-Meta Junglers in League of Legends (Updated)

Nidalee has seen highs and lows throughout the years, but recent changes have caused a resurgence in picks. She’s never really been bad in most METAs, but she also seldom dominates. A big deciding factor about whether or not a champion is good at jungling in this meta is map scaling and how effectively a champion can rotate and help out with the enemy team. Suffice to say, Nidalee enjoys great mobility feats due to her R, Aspect of the Cougar, and Prowl

Nidalee also clears jungle camps fairly quickly when she is in cougar form. While in this form, her abilities don’t cost mana, which doesn’t make you too dependent on blue buff. She scales off AP and has a long-ranged poke.

While Nidalee herself doesn’t have any hard CC, she is able to consistently chase fleeing opponents, so that somewhat makes up for it. Her E in human form, Primal Surge, also offers a heal and a neat attack speed buff. This can also be cast on allies, which is great when someone more suitable for the attack speed buff is present. League is a team game, after all.

2. Morgana

Morgana Top 10 Best Off-Meta Junglers in League of Legends (Updated)

Morgana is another AP mage who makes it to this list. She does everything a jungler is expected to do decently. She has no real map scaling, but everything else in her kit is great. Let’s start with her passive, Soul Siphon. It grants spell vamp when her abilities affect champions, large minions, and large monsters. This gives her a certain degree of built-in sustain when trekking through the jungle.

While it is a skillshot, Dark Binding is devastating when it actually hits enemy champions during a gank. Enemy champions caught in it at max level are rooted for 3 seconds, and when you consider that Morgana could fire it at point-blank range (not likely, but the option is there) with no reduction in duration, it’s all the more terrifying.

Her W, Tormented Shadow, is the main method she uses to clear camps and sustain herself. Every time Soul Siphon is triggered, the cooldown of W is reduced by 5%. This makes it great for sustain and clearing, as she can constantly spam it. Black Shield gives CC immunity as long as the magic shield is there. It lasts 5 seconds, which is usually enough of a window to time it right. Her ultimate, Soul Shackles, is a spell that can turn the tide of a clash when used at the right time.

It basically deals a ton of magic damage while tethering nearby enemies if they weren’t fortunate enough to escape the wind-up. Morgana brings a lot to the table. Long CC durations, the ability to grant disable immunity, and DPS based on enemy health make her a terrifying enemy jungler to face against.

1. Taliyah

Taliyah Top 10 Best Off-Meta Junglers in League of Legends (Updated)

If there was ever a playstyle that embodied feast and famine, a Taliya in the jungle would be it. Taliya doesn’t get as much playtime as she should in the jungle mostly because of her clear speeds. To say it isn’t too good would be putting it lightly. However, she makes up for it in a bunch of other ways. She has incredible map scaling through her ultimate, Weavers Wall, and her passive, Rock Surfing. This means that – to some extent – she can make up for the lost time through quick travel.

When she is ahead, however, she can be a real powerhouse. Her full combo can destroy squishier targets when used correctly. Overall, Taliyah is a bit closer to a damaging utility jungler. This works great with coordinated teams. For what she brings to the table as a whole, she’s earned a spot on this list.

Valorant is a 5v5, round-based tactical shooter with a major focus on gunplay and abilities. Its pool of unique agents brings an extra layer of complexity to the genre that encourages players to get creative and develop knowledge on the many possible team compositions.

However, an aspect that is sometimes misunderstood by new players is the in-game economy system, which determines your access to guns during any given round. It is arguably one of the essential concepts that you’ll need to get a grasp on to be a successful Valorant player.

If you are able to disrupt the enemy team’s economy, they won’t be able to acquire the strongest weapons available. That will put them at a severe disadvantage and give your team a better chance of winning the round.

Playing in accordance with the optimal economic decision can make the difference between winning a single round and even turning the tides of the entire game.

If you’ve played your fair share of Valorant matches, then you’ve probably heard the announcer call out the “Thrifty” tagline after your team or the enemy team wins a round.

We’ll explain what this means and why it’s an integral part of the game.

Also read: The Fastest Way To Get XP in Valorant

What is a Thrifty round?

You’ll generally hear the “Thrifty” tagline when the round-winning team was playing on a Full Save or Eco round. That means that either everyone saved their credits or spent very little on their loadout.

More specifically, a round has the potential to earn you the “Thrifty” commendation when the average loadout in your team costs 2500 fewer credits than those in the enemy team.

For example, if everyone in the enemy team comes into the round equipped with Vandals and Full shields while your team only purchased Frenzies, Shorties, and Light Shields, you could earn a Thrifty by securing that round for your team.

Why Does a “Thrifty” Round Matter?

A “Thrifty” round is most likely to occur when your team is forced to play a “Save” or “Eco” round because your collective credits are not enough to cobble together enough guns and abilities to put up a proper fight.

If you were to force a buy and spend all your credits, you could risk putting yourself at an even worse disadvantage by losing the round and widening the gap between the teams’ economies.

Conversely, this is why winning a “Thrifty” round while scraping by with weak guns can hugely impact the rest of the game.

Doing this can equalize the economy between the teams and put you back on even ground with a significantly higher chance of winning the next round by having access to equally powerful guns as the enemies.

Moreover, if the enemy team is only slightly ahead and they invest all their resources into full buying while your team saves, winning the round can actually turn the tables entirely and give your team the economic lead.

As mentioned, this means you’ll be able to equip the most powerful guns while the enemies will be forced to play on the backfoot.

It’s also a huge morale boost for the team when you can secure a win on a “Thrifty” round. Just think about it, if you can come out on top while severely outgunned, imagine how easy it should be to keep doing it once you’re the ones with the superior loadouts.

Plus, nothing tilts a team more than losing an easy round they were supposed to win, so clutching out a “Trhifyty” is part of waging the mental warfare against your opponents.

Any way you look at it, getting a “Thrifty” is one of the best things that can happen for your team.

How do I Win a “Thrifty” Round?

There’s no tried-and-true method that can guarantee you a “Thrifty” win, but there is some general advice that you can try to keep in mind while playing a “Save” round.

If the enemy team knows you’re low on credits, they are more likely to want to exploit the gun advantage and get a little more aggressive. You can punish this type of play by slowing down, holding some angles with your team, and waiting for the enemy to push into you.

Successfully pulling this off can even secure you a Vandal or Phantom that can help you pick up more kills in that round, which will put you well on your way to securing it.

Further, winning a round without proper guns will require that you get scrappy and creative with how you play the round.

Maybe you can buy a Shorty and play some unexpected off-angle that you haven’t used all game. Perhaps everyone in your team can buy a Frenzy and rush to the site to overwhelm the enemies with a numbers advantage.

Ultimate abilities like Chamber’s Tour de Force and Jett’s Bladestorm are entirely free and can stand up to all other guns in the game, so popping your Ultimate during a “Save” round can give you a relatively good chance of getting some crucial picks and securing a “Thrifty.”

We hope this article helped shed some light on what “Thrifty” means in Valorant and why it is important.

Good luck with your games!

League of Legends has been here for slightly over a decade now, and their creators keep releasing skins non-stop! Around the end of 2019, League of Legends creator, Riot Games, had released their 1000th skin and planned to release many more skins for this year.

How Many Skins Does League of Legends have?

We all know that League of Legends has plenty of skins, but we never really knew the exact number. Here's how many skins does League of Legends have

With the release of the Ocean Song skin series, League of Legends officially has 2148 skins at the moment.

Some champions tend to have more skins than the others. Unfortunately, some champions get neglected in the skins department by Riot Games. Skins are the company’s biggest money drivers because the majority of the players are rushing to buy new skin as soon as it comes out.

The Champion with the most skins right now is Ezreal with a total of 16 skins, and we all know why he has the most skins. She’s one of the most popular champions, so they keep releasing more of her.

The Champions with the least skins right now are Bel’Veth (1 skin), Rell (1 skin), Renata Glasc (1 skin), and Vex (1 skin).

Chroma Skins

Riot Games have released a lot of skins throughout 10 Seasons. Here's how many chroma skins League of Legends actually haves

There are about 235 individual skins that have Chroma skins in League of Legends right now. Chroma skins are just different skin variations that can slightly make the skin better and more unique. Each skin usually has about 10 Chroma skins, so there are about 2750 Chroma Skins in League of Legends right now.

During the last six months, Riot Games stepped up their Chroma game as well. They are frequently adding almost as many chromas as they do normal skins. The new standard is that most new 1350 RP skins also come with Chroma options when released.

Chromas are not counted in the total count of how many skins are there in League of Legends because while they are unique, they are simply a copy of a pre-existing skin and cannot be used without that skin. Chroma skins are additionally bought after buying a particular skin and can only be used when that skin is equipped.

Including the amount of Chromas, League of Legends has over 4800 skins.

League of Legends Skin categories

Yes, League of Legends does have many skins, but how many skins do they exactly have for each category, and what are these categories?

There are store skins that can be divided into seven price categories:

  • 390 RP
  • 520 RP
  • 750 RP
  • 975 RP
  • 1350 RP (Epic Skin)
  • 1820 RP (Legendary Skin)
  • 3250 RP (Ultimate Skin)

Legendary skins and Ultimate skins are the most developed with different visual and sound effects. But there are only about a dozen Legendary skins and few Ultimate ones. If we haven’t mentioned it already, there are 32 skins that are unavailable( you can’t buy them anymore), 64 rare skins, and 322 Legacy skins.

Then, there are Prestige Skins, which can only be unlocked through in-game events. These skins cannot be bought with RP and can only be unlocked with Prestige Points or Event Points with the help of Event passes. Prestige Skins cannot be unlocked with Orange Essence or Riot Points (RP)

Here are all of the Prestige Skins in League of Legends

Then, there are the Seasonal skins, which can ONLY be earned through sheer skill. There are also the Victorious skin series, which you can get for free by being at the Gold 4 Rank by the end of the Ranked Season.

And the final category is Promotional skins. They can only be earned through different promotions such as earning Riot Girl Tristana through their Facebook Promotion and such.

The amount of skins in each category is as follows :

  • 390 RP – 3 Skins
  • 520 RP – 161 Skins
  • 750 RP – 129 Skins
  • 975 RP – 333 skins
  • 1350 RP – 377 skins
  • 1820 RP – 61 skins
  • 3250 RP – 4 skins
  • Special – 64 skins

If you’re aiming to collect every single skin in the game, this should give you a good idea of what you can expect in terms of the challenge ahead of you. After all, 2148 skins are definitely a serious mountain to climb, especially since a good handful of them are unobtainable, at least at the moment. Here’s how much would it cost to buy every Skin in League of Legends

Jhin AMA

Reddit, as a social media platform, is home to the AMA, or the Ask Me Anything. It’s a relatively common type of practice where a noteworthy person in their respective community will offer to answer people’s questions. They happen often in the League of Legends Reddit community, too, and there was one that was different from your usual AMA.

Instead of the subject being a famous player or other personality in the scene, it was just a random player. More specifically, it was a Jhin main, and they offered to answer all questions in the AMA with Jhin quotes. We learned two things from reading through the comments. First, there are way more Jhin quotes than we realized there were, and second, this was a stroke of pure genius. It was nothing short of unadulterated entertainment.

We won’t spoil it with too many specifics, because you’ll need to read through the AMA yourself to get a feel for how special it was, but we will reveal some of our favorites. This Jhin player seemed to have the perfect quote for everything, from witty replies to sick burns. Here are some of them.

Question: What is your take on AP Jhin?
Answer: “They call me mad, all artists are mad”.

Question: How do you feel about your rank?
Answer: “It hurts so good”

Question: Will Jhin ever be victorious?
Answer: “My genius will be understood… eventually.”

You really can see what a creative champion Jhin is and how you can have loads of fun with Jhin Quotes.

This really goes to show that not only can real people motivate you, but certain styles of writing or character depiction can also motivate you or make you feel things out of the norm. I know for a fact that I have started quoting Jhin a lot after making this Article and now you may start too!

Whether you got banned by mistake or actually got banned for a reason, this article will let you know the best way to get yourself unbanned from League of Legends

First of all, have you been banned permanently or just temporarily? If it’s just a matter of a few weeks then most likely it’s not worth the effort, just wait it out. However, if the ban is permanent then the reason for the ban determines how likely it is to get unbanned.

Reasons For Getting Banned

If you don't want to get banned in League of Legends, you should avoid doing these things

Banned for Scripting

If you have been banned for Scripting then it is a well-deserved ban. If you did get banned for scripting in League of Legends then the chances of getting unbanned are close to zero. League of Legends have recently upgraded their banning system and have absolutely no mercy for players scripting so even if it was a one time mistake or someone else was playing in your account, there is no coming back from a scripting ban.

However, if you did get banned without doing anything, there is a small chance of recovering your account as Riot makes mistakes too. Reach out to their Player Support and make your case.

Banned For Third-Party Software

If you have used a third party software that lets you use any skin in the game or any other feature it provides you, getting unbanned for this reason is also quite close to impossible. Even though this does not have much of an effect on the other players, these softwares usually change the League of Legends files which goes against the TOS. Along with that, Riot Games cannot find the difference between scripting and using third party software so they ban all alike.

If you have been banned for this, then the chances of getting unbanned are pretty slim.

Banned For Toxicity

This is the most common reason for a ban in League of Legends: Toxicity

If you have been banned for toxicity, then you have a good chance of being unbanned considering it is your first time. If you have been banned repeatedly then there is literally no chance of you getting unbanned. Riot Games believes in giving players a second chance to reform themselves so they will usually unban you if this is your first time, that is why you can see super toxic players like Tyler1 to get unbanned. It is because he changed

Become a less toxic person or at the very least promise Riot Games you will be lesser toxic and watch your account get unbanned.

Banned For Boosting

Well if you have been banned for boosting then it is quite difficult to get unbanned from that account. The thing with getting banned for boosting is that Riot Games gives you a 14-day suspension for boosting first stating that if you continue doing this, you will be banned permanently. Riot Games gives you proper notice in advance and if you still continued doing it, it is all on you. Getting banned for boosting also is a difficult case to appeal.

Most of you reading must have been banned for toxicity so it is rather quite simple to get unbanned for that, but for the other readers who have been banned for Scripting, using third party services and boosting in League of Legends, well you are out of luck. But fear not, follow the procedure below and you just might get unbanned!

How to Get Unbanned?

How to appeal League of Legends ban?

Riot Support is your go-to place to get unbanned. Send them a few polite, non-demanding messages for your appeal and wait for their response. If the response is negative then well… don’t make the same mistake that led to your account suspension again and go get a new account.

Also, make sure you do not give up after your first try, keep trying to appeal for your ban because Riot Games will then think you truly care about your account and are actually trying to make a change. If you fail 2 times then don’t worry, the third time is a charm. Stop only after 3 times because then they have a fixed mind and are keen on keeping the ban.

Websites That Will Get You Unbanned

If you have been unable to get unbanned from the above method and are getting desperate and looking at all these websites that will promise you to get unbanned, well stop looking at them. They simply do the same thing as mentioned above. They do not have any “secret way” or a “man on the inside” to help get your account unbanned. These websites will simply write to Riot Support on your behalf, something that you can invest your own time in and save your money.

There are no websites and nobody who can help you so go on and write a heartfelt, polite message to Riot Support and hope that you get unbanned.

Despite being a free game, League of Legends will actually cost you a lot more than you think.

How Did League of Legends Become Popular?

Even though it wasn't that popular at the beginning. League of Legends popularity has grown massively in the last five to six years

Let’s be honest, League of Legends wasn’t that amazing during its first year. The graphics were garbage, and the gameplay wasn’t all that different from games like Heroes of Newerth. What set it apart from other titles, was the fact that it was free.

This could be compared to the incredibly popular film “Night of the Living Dead.” This movie is what gave rise to modern zombies as we know them. However, due to some copyright issues, Night of the Living Dead became free right after being released.

This meant that anyone could watch the movie for free, and people who didn’t even like horror movies went to see it, I mean, after all, it was free and who wouldn’t want something free right? They actually ended up getting many people to watch the money and made big bucks from advertising. All because it was FREE.

What does this have to do with League of Legends? During LoL’s early days, free games were a rarity – sure, there were a couple of games that offered you an hour or two of free content but if you wanted to leave the starting area though, you had to get through a paywall.

Other free games were out there, but they are older than we are. The only real alternative was Miniclip, and that site wasn’t known for its multiplayer games.

People thought the idea of League of Legends was a radical one, and many thought it would fail within a year. Fast forward a decade and here we are – LoL is one of the biggest games in the world, and the market is flooded with free to play titles.

How Much Does League of Legends Really Cost?

League is a free-to-play game, but most of the players are buying skins and spending money in-game. Here's how much does League of Legends really cost

Well it is a Free game so you all must be wondering why does it cost to play League of Legends? Well it is a free game initially, but with all the shining and attractive Skins and all the big amounts of content, some really get tempted into buying things and making League of Legends cost money.

Cost of Champions

It may seem silly at first but after a while, you will get tempted to purchase the champions, which can be earned totally for free.

It all comes down to pressure and impatience. People enjoy feeling like they’re useful, and they want to try new things. The fastest way to get both those things is by paying for them. You see, if you’re a newbie at League, then the odds are really stacked against you.

First off, you’ll likely have friends who already play the game, and you’ll probably want to impress them. That’s all well and good, except for the fact that when you first start out, you have about five Champions. Sure, Champion capsules make things a bit easier, but it’s still a challenge. You could stick to plain old free rotation Champions of course, but they’ll get snatched away just as you’re getting used to them. The quickest way to get the Champions that you’ll enjoy is to buy them. After all, they’re so cheap. Right?

It certainly may seem foolish to buy champions at first glance, but after a while, they start to be really appealing.

Champions may not seem that costly initially, but once you bring in all 150+ Champions into count, it could cost about $550 to buy all of them. The higher costs one cost about $10 and the cheaper ones cost about a dollar or two, but all combined together become really costly.

Cost of Skins

League of Legends Skins are not free. You're gonna have to open your wallet and put-in your credit card credentials if you want to get some cool skins.

Then you have the skins which cost anywhere from $5 all the way to $100 and sometimes you will get tempted to buy one skin thinking its only one skin and then proceed to buy many more, just like me. I wanted to only buy Project: ZED but eventually ended up buying the whole Project series well because they just look so good.

Just like this, you will think you want to buy one skin and get roped into buying many. League of Legends is free but still costs money.

Cost of Miscellaneous items

League of Legends not only has skins, but they also have other miscellaneous items such as ward skins, icons, chests, capsules and event passes. Yeah, Riot Games has a battle pass kind of system for TFT and an event pass system for League of Legends which costs about $10 but if you grind it hard, you can make it really worth.

Some people really think that oh with $10 event pass I can grind and get up to $100 worth of skins, and yes it sounds like a pretty sweet deal, but again it ends up costing you money. There are usually 4 event passes per season, so this is straight-up $40 for event passes. Then some people like having cool wards and icons and end up purchasing each of those for about $5 each.

The True Cost of League of Legends

So far if you see, the cost of everything in League of Legends is :

  • Champions – $2 to $10
  • Skins – $5 to $100
  • Chests and Hextech Crafting – $2 to $50
  • Event passes – $10
  • Icons and Wards – $5 each
  • Time – $Infinite

How Much Money Does an Average Player Spend in League of Legends?

Gamers like to buy stuff to improve their looks and overall game. So, we decided to put an end to the question: "How much money does an average League of Legends player spend?"

An average League of Legends player spends $119 on average. How much have I spent on League of Legends? I have personally spent more than $800 on League of Legends. Saying this makes me realize that I might have a problem.

How Much Money Have I Spent on LoL?

Riot Games made a feature where you can check out how much money did you spend on League. Be aware that it can be painful to see the money spent on League of Legends. If you’re not afraid of the shock, then check out the link above and sign in to your account. Once you’ve signed in, you should see a big red button “Show Me The Money”

So, you can really see the true cost of League of Legends here and even if you don’t spend a single dime, you will end up spending a lot of time (nice rhyme), and as everyone knows, the cost of time cannot be valued. So, even if we don’t pay with money, we pay with our time.

If you’re wondering: “just how much money have I spent on League of Legends?!”, you should check out our guide.

If you are a new League of Legends player, then you must be wondering exactly on How to play League of legends and hopefully, this article makes everything clear for you.

What is League of Legends?

League of Legends is a team-based strategy game where two teams of five powerful champions face off to destroy the other’s base. Choose from over 140 champions to make epic plays, secure kills, and take down towers as you battle your way to victory.

How to Play League of Legends?

How to play League of Legends?

The basic goal of the game is to destroy the enemy base. As simple as that. But not just as simple. You need to destroy the enemy nexus and to do that, you will need to clear a path all the way to it. Your team needs to clear at least one lane to get to the enemy Nexus. Blocking your path are defense structures called turrets and inhibitors. Each lane has three turrets and one inhibitor, and each Nexus is guarded by two turrets.

  • TURRETS
Turrets deal damage to enemy minions and champions, and provide limited vision from the Fog of War for their team. Attack these structures with minions ahead of you to avoid damage and charge ahead.
  • INHIBITORS
Each Inhibitor is protected by a Turret. When destroyed, super minions will spawn in that lane for several minutes. Afterward, the Inhibitor will respawn and Super Minions will stop spawning.

In between the lanes is the jungle, where neutral monsters and jungle plants reside. The two most important monsters are Baron Nashor and the Drakes. Killing these units grants unique buffs for your team and can also turn the tide of the game.

There are five positions that make up the recommended team comp for the game. Each lane lends itself to certain kinds of champions and roles—try them all or lock in to the lane that calls you.

  • TOP LANE
Champions in the top lane are the tough solo fighters of the team. It’s their job to protect their lane and focus on the enemy team’s most powerful members.
  • JUNGLE
Junglers live for the hunt. Stalking between lanes with stealth and skill, they keep a close eye on the most important neutral monsters and pounce the moment an opponent lets their guard down.
  • MID LANE
Mid laners are your high burst damage champions who can do it all—solo and as a team. For them, combat is a dangerous dance where they’re always looking for an opportunity to outplay their opponent.
  • BOT LANE
Bot lane champions are the dynamite of the team. As precious cargo, they need to be protected early on before amassing enough gold and experience to carry the team to victory.
  • SUPPORT
Support champions are team guardians. They help keep teammates alive and primarily focus on setting up kills, protecting their teammate in bot lane until they become stronger

After deciding your role, you get to choose a Champion for that role and then get into the game. Each Champion has 5 unique Abilities that can do things from damaging to healing to stunning a target. You have to then Power up each Champion by purchasing items, earning Gold and Experience Points which will help you defeat the enemy Champions.

Champions have five core abilities, two special spells, and up to seven items at a time. Figuring out the optimal ability order, summoner spells, and item build for your champion will help you succeed as a team

  • ABILITIES
Most champions have a unique kit made up of five abilities: a Passive, three Basics, and an Ultimate. These abilities are mapped to the Q, W, E, and R keys.
  • SUMMONER SPELLS
Summoner spells are abilities with unique effects that champions can use. They are mapped to the D and F keys. There are many spells, but a few commonly used ones are Flash, Teleport, Smite, and Ignite.
  • ITEMS
Items enhance your champion’s performance, like granting faster movement, improved damage, and reduced ability cooldowns.

With the help of your allies, you have to fight against the Enemy and bring down Turrets, Inhibitors and Enemy Champions while defending your own and eventually destroy the Enemy Nexsus to win the game. Each game will be different because each Champion has unique abilities and how each player plays also is different, and with the different combinations of Champions, it is truly impossible to have two games that are the same,

Now you know about all the basics of League of Legends and the “How to play League of Legends?” and are stuck at the “How to get better at League of Legends?”. Well, this article will cover that too.

How to Get Better at League of Legends?

How to get better in League of Legends

Decide a role.

You need to start focusing on one role rather than jumping between all the roles. You should pick a role that is well suited for you and only play that role until you understand the in’s and out’s of that role.

Get a small Champion pool

To get better at League of Legends you need to stick to a few champions in a particular role. Once you decide a role, you decide 3 Champions for that role and play them until you master them. In low elo gameplay, the macro does not matter, the skill at how you play the Champion matters. If you are able to out-skill the enemy, you will win.

Strengthen your Basics

If you are trying to become better at League of Legends, you need to become better at every aspect of it. You have to master how to Kill minions and how to gain gold efficiently, having better CS can gain you more gold than a kill. Last Hitting plays a major role in your laning phase and decides if you get an item in 7 minutes or 17 minutes.

Warding

Warding plays a major role in the mechanics of the game and if you start warding properly and looking at your map more often, you will be much more aware and will be able to make the right decisions at the right time.

Learn from your Mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes, even the pros. We can all improve. It’s difficult to see what you could do better in the chaos of a team fight. Definitely watch your recordings, especially your defeats to learn what you can do better.

Don’t worry about fixing everything wrong you did. Focus on improving one aspect of your gameplay at a time. Once you’ve improved, look out for another area of improvement. You can also go for different League of Legends coaching tools that can help you get better at League of Legends and also help analyze and improve your gameplay.

Who is the Best Beginner Champion in League of Legends?

1. Soraka

5 Best Supports in Patch 10.13

Soraka is one of the best beginner support LoL champion. She supports her team primarily through healing her teammates. You may choose to dash forward at times to use either Starcall (Q) or Equinox (E), which both damage and inflict CC, yet you will spend most of your time healing your teammates from the back of your lines.

Soraka also has a rare global Ultimate Wish, meaning that it can affect champions anywhere on the map. Use it to help heal teammates engaged in combat far away. Very simple champion with close to zero skill shots and can help the team easily.

2. Sona

Best Supports for Beginners

Sona has a very simple kit and can be played by anyone who knows how to press the buttons Q, W, E, and R. She can simply spam all her abilities and help her whole team if positioned right and is definitely very good support to pick up.

3. Yuumi

More hated than Teemo: Yummi has incredibly high ban rate on EU servers

Yuumi is very beginner-friendly support to play because all she has to do is sit and aim her one damaging ability. Yuumi sticks on to an ally making you not worry about your movements or getting damaged. All you have to do is to heal your ally when they get low and use your ultimate when going in.

Yuumi also gives the added benefit of being able to easily watch other lanes as you do not have to worry about your pathing or movement as the ally you stick on to will take care of that. Here are the best supports in Patch 10.14

I hope this article has covered everything from the “How to play League of Legends” to “How to become better at League of Legends” and also helped you dive right into the game with the best beginner support champions to help you get a feel for the game.

If you have been going through your post-game stats, you must be seeing this “Self Mitigated damage” section in the page and must be wondering what it is, this article will tell you exactly what Self Mitigated damage is in League of Legends

What is Self Mitigated Damage?

In simple terms, the amount of damage reduced or blocked on yourself through abilities or shields is self mitigated damage. Any damage reduction whether it is from your resistances ( Magic Resist or Armor) or from your abilities ( Lux’s Prismatic Barrier (W)) or from items (Bloodthirster shield, Knight’s vow) all count towards your self mitigated damage.

Self mitigated damage must not necessarily be from your own shields and abilities, it can also be from your Allies shields and abilities or their items too. Basically, any damage reduction on yourself is the damage you have mitigated. Your support Janna shielding you will also count as Self Mitigated damage or your Yasuo Passive shield will also count as such.

This stat actually shows you how much you have reduced damage and will help you understand to what extent are you using your abilities and items. For example, a Nautilus should have about 150k damage Self mitigated because of his Titan’s Wrath (W) shield in an average game, if you find that you are only having about 60k Self Mitigated damage that means you are not using your W to its full potential and have lots of room for improvement.

What is Self Mitigated Damage in League of Legends?

After looking at the image above you must be thinking that okay it makes sense for Nautilus to Self Mitigate 175k damage but how did Xerath end up mitigating 17k damage? He does not have any shields or damage reduction abilities so how did he end up mitigating so much damage? Well, it is because the Karma’s shield on Xerath also counts as Self mitigated damage.

All Shielding from external sources also counts as Self Mitigated damage as the damage reduction is happening on you. Apart from that, it could have been that Xerath also had a fully upgraded Archangel’s staff which provides a shield as an active which could have also helped in the Self Mitigated Damage.

That example should have helped cleared your doubt on “What is Self Mitigated Damage” and now you must be wondering on what all items and abilities help in Mitigating damage.

Self Mitigated Damage Calculator

Self Mitigated Damage Calculator

League of Legends Self Mitigated Calculation is very simple. Check the amount of damage your shield blocks and count the number of times you use that shield on yourself. This will give you a rough estimate of how much damage you have mitigated.

Apart from this, doing Self Mitigated damage calculation is very difficult as you will need to keep a track of how many times your ally has used their shields on you or how much damage your Resistances (Armor and Magic Resist) have reduced damage for you and how much damage certain abilities and items have reduced for you.

To keep it simple, just play the game and check your Self Mitigated damage in the Post-Game stats section.

A lot of players that stopped playing League have returned to the game this year, only to find a new confusing client. If you’re one of those players, don’t worry, you’re not the only one with that problem. Here’s how you can easily log out of League of Legends

If you’re new summoner in League of Legends or are returning to the game after a break, here is how you can logout of the League of Legends game client and website in two simple steps.

Also read: How to get more rune pages in League of Legends

How to log out of League of Legends Client?

STEP 1: X Button

Once in the client, you will see a Cross (X) button on the top right corner of the client. Click it and proceed to Step 2.

STEP 2: Confirmation Box

A confirmation pop-up box will appear on the client with two options – Exit and Sign Out. Select Sign Out if you want to logout of your account but keep the client open. Select Exit if you want to logout and shut the client as well.

A lot of players that stopped playing League have returned this year, only to find a new confusing client. If you're one of those players, don't worry, you're not the only one with that problem. Here's how you can easily log out of League of Legends

Remember that if you have chosen the “Stay logged in” option while signing in, you have to click Sign Out to log out of the account. Clicking exit when this option is on will simply close the client and not sign you out from it.

How to log out of the League of Legends Website?

STEP 1: Right click your name

Once logged in to www.leagueoflegends.com, you will see your Summoner name in the top right corner. Simply clicking the summoner name will open a drop-down menu to help you sign out.

STEP 2: Drop down menu

Once the drop-down menu is open, you will have to look for the “Logout” option which is usually at the bottom of the list. Once you click the button, you will be logged out of the website.

Here's how you can easily sign out from League of Legends official website

And Voila! You have now been logged out from either the League of Legends client or the League of Legends Website and the thing is, this not only works for League of Legends, but also for every other Riot Games Game produced so far. So factually speaking, you can use this same method to log out of Valorant or to log out of Legends of Runeterra.

How to log out of League of Legends – Different Methods

Through Task Manager

If the methods we’ve covered earlier in this article haven’t worked for you, you can try to logout of League of Legends through the Task Manager application (If your PC is on Windows OS).

Keep in mind that if you’ve enabled the option ‘Keep me Signed in’ while you logged in, then ending the task will not actually log you out. You should also keep in mind that this method will only work for the League of Legends client, which means that this won’t work if you want to log out of the League of Legends website.

What could happen if forget to log out?

If you’re playing League of Legends in school or some gaming café, you’re in great danger if you forget to log out. Trust me, I’ve been there. I was playing League with my friends in our local gaming café, and everything was good until I came home and I remembered that I didn’t log out.

When I logged in League with my own PC, I saw that someone played a couple of ranked games on my account and inted in all of them. They could’ve got my account banned, all because I forgot to simply log out of League of Legends. Here’s the scenario – you’re having the time of your life playing League of Legends, you’re comfortable, and everything’s going right… then all of a sudden, you run into an assassin that brings out the frustration from deep inside of you, the frustration you didn’t even know you had. That annoying Assassin keeps one-shotting you, and you can’t seem to figure it out. Well, we’re going to shed a little light on your situation and help you understand how you got one-shotted.

Hint: It involved Lethality!

What is Lethality in LoL?

Let's face it, we're all probably still confused with what does lethality do in LoL. Well, you don't have to be confused anymore!

Back in Season 7, League of Legends introduced a new statistic. This is a change that was made in order to replace the flat armor penetration. Basically, you’re granted flat armor penetration using this formula:

  • Flat Armor Penetration = LETHALITY x (0.6 + 0.4 x level % 18)

During Season 7, flat armor penetration was changed and transformed into the new Lethality stats. Yes, they changed the name, and this was to clear up any confusion the LoL community may have. The previous name was “flat armor penetration,” and this suggested that it was good when going against targets with armor.

It is worth noting that some items are better on certain champions than on others. Take ability power as an example – this is used for wizards, armor, magic resistance on tanks, physical damage for those damage carriers, and assassins.

Lethality originated in 2017 and is converted into fixed armor penetration. In LoL, there are actually four different types of calculations to reduce or penetrate the enemy’s armor: percentage armor reduction, fixed armor reduction, armor penetration, and Lethality. Don’t worry; we’ll explain each of them.

Fixed Armor Reduction

Under fixed armor reduction, the enemy’s armor can be reduced by a fixed amount. This reduction will cause the loss of an enemy’s temp armor. If the enemy has 20 armor, and you reduce 20, then this will leave your opponent standing there naked, with 0 armor. Fixed armor reduction can exceed zero, which makes the attribute negative, increasing your damage even more.

Percentage Armor Reduction

When you have a target hit by skill or an item that reduces the armor by a certain percentage, physical damage will be even more effective.

Take the Black Cleaver as an example; it has what we refer to as a “Slit” effect – this can reduce the enemy champions’ armor by up to 24% (ouch). If the enemy champion has 100 armor, he/she will lose 24 and keep 76.

The Calculation for this:

Current armor = total – (percentage) = 100 – (100 x 24/100) = 100 – 24 = 76

Percentage Armor Penetration

Unlike percentage armor reduction and fixed armor reduction, armor penetration is only guaranteed to the champion who applies it. The opponent’s resistance isn’t going to be reduced gradually or steadily for all physical damage, but only for the champion himself. This is an attribute used in damage carriers and is best applied when going against targets with a large amount of armor.

The item called Mortal Reminder applies 25% armor penetration. If you’re dealing with 100 physical resistance, this is going to result in 75.

Here’s the calculation:

Current armor = total – (percentage) = 100 – (100 x 0.25 / 100) = 100 – 25 = 75

LoL Lethality

Lethality is a special effect in League of Legends which Riot released back in 2017. It's usually built on assassins and high damage carries.

Lethality ignores a fixed value of the enemy champions armor, and it cannot exceed zero. This works as penetration and depends on the champion inflicting it. Riot balances Lethality in LoL by making it available little at a time, reaching the maximum Lethality at level 18.

When an item has this special trait, they’ll have a calculation that will let you know how much Lethality you’re gaining. Looking at Duskblade of Draktharr, it grants a total of 21 lethality, and it will give you a percentage of that before you reach level 18.

Let’s say you have a character at level 10; the formula would look like this:

Fixed Armor Penetration = lethality x (0.6 + 0.4 x level / 18) = 21 x (0.6 + 0.4 x 10/18) = 21 x (0.6 + 0.4 x 0, 55) = 21 x (0.6 + 0.22) = 21 x 0.82 = 17.2

An Even Closer Look at Lethality – How Does LoL Lethality Work?

Long story short, in League of Legends, Lethality is all about armor penetration. You can think of it as negative armor. The amount of Lethality you have would be the amount of armor removed from the enemy.

Here, let me give you an example to help you out…

Let’s say you’re dealing with Vayne on the other side – Vayne has 60 Armor, and you have 40 Lethality. This means that for you, Vayne will only have 20 Armor.

The 40 Lethality you have takes away 40 Armor from the enemy, but only 40 (because that’s what you have).

Now, you’re going up against a Rammus, and he has 500 Armor. For you, Rammus will have a total of 460 Armor because of your 40 Lethality. The 40 Lethality removes 40 Armor from his 500 Armor, which leaves him with 460.

Surely, this explanation has put a better perspective on why Assassins have been one-shotting Squishies and not Tanks.

Lethality Vs. Armor Pen – The Difference Between Lethality and Armor Penetration

What is Lethality in LoL and How Does it Work?

Are you scratching your head, trying to figure out the difference between Lethality and Armor Penetration? Let me explain …

Believe it or not, it’s really not all that complicated. LoL Lethality is flat, while Armor Penetration is based on a percentage.

To make things easier, let’s go back to the example we gave you earlier.

Vayne has 60 Armor, and you have 45% Armor Penetration. Now, he will have 33 Armor, Whereas the Rammus we talked about who had 500 Armor is now going to have a total of 275 Armor (wow, that was a big drop, wasn’t it).

As you see, Lethality is a big help and makes it where the enemy barely has any Armor, but if you have an enemy that is stacking armor like a hamster stacks food in his mouth, Armor Penetration is going to be on your side.

Lethality Calculation LoL

The amount of Lethality you receive is going to increase, depending on the level of your League of Legends Champion. Riot Games made it easy for us to calculate Lethality – simply by hovering over the item, it will tell you how much Lethality you currently have on your champion.

Is Lethality better than armor penetration?

Yes. In most cases it’s better to build items that will grant you lethality than those with armor penetration.

Does damage reduction reduce True Damage?

Damage reduction effect reduces damage from lethality and armor penetration, but it will not reduce the damage from True damage effect.

Do lethality items stack?

Riot removed unique lethality passive last year, which means that you can now stack more lethality items, which allows you to do even more damage!

Does lethality work on abilities?

Like we said earlier, lethality is just scaling armor penetration. It will work with anything that does physical damage

What counter lethality?

When you’re facing an assassin, you should just build more armor to counter his lethality.

Conclusion

Hopefully, this article clarified LoL Lethality vs Armor Pen for you, so you no longer have to wonder why that little Assassin has been one-shotting you the entire time.
