As a super complex MOBA, League of Legends can prove to be very hard to play well. Some players remain stuck in Bronze even after playing this game for years. However, it is always very easy to improve if you can simply work on your fundamentals and do better in small steps.

If you are often losing games where you or your teammates die a bunch of times at the start of the game, chances are that you need to learn how to bring yourself back into a comfortable position after falling behind early in the game.

There are some simple rules for every role that you can follow when playing at a disadvantage in League of Legends, and following these guidelines will help you maximise your chances of winning when you have fallen behind.

What Qualifies as Falling Behind?

Believe it or not but almost all the time, you win League of Legends matches because of gold or experience leads of your team, and not your crazy mechanical skill expression (looking at you keyblading Yasuos and double casting Rivens).

As such, gold and experience leads and trails are the most important things to look for in every match. If your enemies gain either of these leads, you are in a lot of trouble, and need to play a lot more carefully to have a shot at winning.

But you do not need to worry too much, because this guide will tell you precisely how you can work your way around such an unfortunate situation, and salvage a game that you think you will lose.

Falling Behind in Gold:

Falling Behind in Gold:

The enemy team will gain a gold lead on you by either farming creeps more efficiently than you, or taking objectives like towers and baron while you lose out on their gold. Kills, ofcourse, also give them a lot of gold and laning phase kills will give them huge gold leads on you.

Falling Behind in Experience:

If you are not close enough to minions when they die, which may be because you have recalled to base or are roaming to other lanes, you will fall behind in experience. This will allow the enemy to have a level advantage on you.

Usually this means that the enemy will have better stats than you, and also unlock abilities faster at early levels and maxing them out before you later on.

How to Recover When Behind?

There are a lot of ways in which you can recover your lack of gold or experience in a League match. Employing one or two of these techniques will surely help you win more games than you might otherwise consider unwinnable.

1.    Farm Minions Under Tower:

The most generally applicable advice to playing when behind is to simply farm minions while staying under the protection of your turret. Minions will give you both gold and experience, and if you do this for long enough, you will be able to build enough items and have enough levels to contest objectives for your team.

If you plan on doing this, however, you should make sure that the enemy does not freeze the minion wave under their tower. If that is the case, doing this will make you lose even more gold and experience because the minions will be dying so far away from your turret.

1.    Avoid Fights:

You can considerably improve your chances of winning when the enemy has a lead if you simply avoid taking unnecessary fights. Usually, taking a fight when behind will allow your enemy to stat-check you and just run you down because of their higher level and better items.

If you avoid fights and instead focus on farming up and getting objectives, you will only be fighting when absolutely necessary, and prevent your enemy from snowballing harder than they already are, because you will be denying them some kills.

2.    Go to a Sidelane:

An amazingly effective strategy to make yourself relevant again in the game is to take up the sidelanes. Best done after the tier one turret has fallen, this method simply relies on you farming up whatever minions you can get in the top or bot lane when teams are grouping in the midlane or around the drake or baron pit.

This works even better if you are playing a strong duelist or a splitpush champ, and if you can splitpush well enough, you can create an insane amount of pressure on the enemies, and even win some games off of it alone.

With the addition of Objective Bounties and Hullbreaker, this strategy is stronger than ever, and taking down turrets will quickly allow you to negate enemy gold leads and focus other objectives while they clear the waves you pushed.

3.    Do Not Tilt:

The best League players are those with the strongest mental abilities. If you do not tilt, you already have a great chance of winning. Tilting makes you make stupid mistakes that increase the gap between you and your enemy team.

Tilting has also caused players to break their peripherals and int on purpose, which has gotten them banned for unhealthy behaviour. So it is best if you steer very clear of this trait. Remember, do not tilt!

At the end of the day, League of Legends is just a game and one loss will not even matter in the grand scheme of things. Oh, pessimism!

4.    Work Around Your Champion’s Strengths:

Most late game champions have a rough time in the early game, and you might end up losing a lot of minions to your laner. However, you need to keep in mind that if you are playing a scaling champion into an early game powerhouse, that is how it is almost always going to be!

But you can take your revenge once you have reached your powerspike, at which point your late game champion should be able to take down every early game champion if you did not int way too hard.

If you are playing an early game champ, you need to abuse the first 10 minutes of the game, and make sure that you generate a lead instead of falling behind during this time. That is the only way to win on your own.

Final Thoughts:

Losses in League of Legends can be very frustrating for the best of us, and a bad game can easily ruin your mood. But employing these strategies to turn games that appear lost into victories will help you enjoy League of Legends a lot more.

Let us know in the comments below how you cope with a bad start to your games, and how you play when at a disadvantage. With all that said, best of luck on the Rift!

It’s common knowledge that whenever there is a sport, there are bound to be cheaters in that sport. It doesn’t matter whether we are talking about athletic sports or video games, this rule applies everywhere.

League of Legends is no exception to the rule since it is one of the most played online games in the world. However, traditional cheating in League has not been a common sight for a long time, let me explain;

It’s rare to see a player installing some software to cheat or script in League of Legends, and the reason for that is simple: At this point, Riot’s banning mechanism has become so advanced that cheating on an account by using some sort of cheat software is not sustainable in the long term.

However,

“Where there is a will, there is a way”

-Merriam Webster

When players are not good enough to rank up their accounts, or they don’t have enough time to spend on League, they resort to Elo Boosting. Elo Boosting is a strategy where a more experienced player takes control of your account to win games and rank up your account.

This article is written to inform you of all the ins and outs of Elo Boosting in League of Legends.

So without further ado, let’s get started, shall we?

What is Elo Boosting?

What is Elo Boosting?

As previously said, Elo Boosting is a strategy where a more experienced League of Legends player takes control of your account to win games and rank up that account. That “experienced League of Legends player” could be your friend or someone you paid money to.

This strategy is used by countless numbers of players in League. It is one of the most common and easiest ways to cheat in League of Legends. In fact, Dopamine who is one of the most prominent Elo Boosters in League of Legends says that “almost 20% of all the accounts in the NA region are Elo Boosted”.

This statement from Dopamine starts to hold its weight when you google the term “League Elo Boosting”. The number of websites that show up from that search is a clear indicator of how big this industry is.

P.S Dopamine made this statement in a DongHuap video titled “League of Documentary – The Harsh Reality of Eloboosters

What is Duo Boosting?

Duo Boosting means when a more experienced player uses his/her smurf account to play Duo Queue with you. Just like Elo Boosting, this is also done to help you rank up your League account.

Unlike Elo Boosting, the chances of getting banned by Duo Boosting are zero. With this method, Riot Games have no way to prove that your account has been boosted. In Riot’s eyes, you have been playing with a League friend who just happens to be carrying you. However, if you go around telling people that you were Duo Boosted and someone ticket reports your conversation, you will likely get banned.

What is Loss Spree Queue?

Loss Spree Queue/Loser’s Queue occurs when Riot detects “suspicious activity” on your account and deliberately puts you on the losing team, let me explain;

A booster’s main job is to win lots of games and put you in high MMR. After that, if you play on your account and underperform by losing multiple games in a row, Riot Games think that you’re boosted and they put you in a Loss Spree Queue.

Loss Spree Queue was considered a myth for a long time. However, a lot of experts and streamers like Hashinshin believe that it is very much real and not a myth at all.

How to get out of Loss Spree Queue?

Getting out of a Loss Spree Queue is quite simple. You just have to prove your worth to Riot and win a couple of games in a row. However, this might be easier said than done if your account is boosted and you’re not up to par with that rank of players.

Why is Elo Boosting Illegal?

It is illegal because it creates an unfair environment for everyone playing with you. This happens because when you are being boosted, the booster is smurfing on his teammates which is not fair to the Low-Elo players trying to play and have a good time.

It is also unfair because when you get your account back after being boosted, you are not at the skill level that the other players in your games are. This will very likely result in you losing your game and your entire team losing LP.

It is also illegal because, in Riot’s eyes, you do not deserve to be ranked among the top-tier players in the game unless you have worked hard for it yourself.

Is Elo Boosting a Bannable Offense?

The short answer is yes. However, the likelihood of getting banned from Elo Boosting is close to zero. The websites offering these services have become so smart that it has become hard for Riot to keep track of all the boosted accounts.

For example, If you are someone who plays with their Flash set to the “D” key, your booster would also play with their Flash on the “D” key, whether he/she is comfortable with that or not. It’s little things like these that make these websites so top-notch.

Almost all Elo Boosting websites provide VPN support as well. They set their VPN to the country you live in to make sure nothing seems off to Riot. They also use the “appear offline” on your League client to make sure that your friends don’t get the wind of what the booster is currently doing.

All of these services combined, ensure that you never get banned.

Is Elo Boosting Profitable?

Let me be honest here, Elo boosting will not make you a millionaire. In fact, even if you’re one of the best Elo Boosters on the market, you would still be making less than the minimum wage. So, what’s the incentive for becoming an Elo Booster you might ask?

Most of these Elo Boosters are from European countries where the average salaries are about $1500 to $2000. These Elo Boosters can make that amount of money from the comfort of their homes while playing video games. This is the reason why this industry is so popular in the League community.

However, let us clarify that the only people making $1500 to $2000 are the ones who make it their profession and work very hard for it. And before you think this is an easy job, let us remind you that playing League itself is not pressuring. However, when you play League to earn money, it puts a lot of pressure on your mind to win, which can also affect your “mental”.

Criteria to become an Elo Booster

In the research of this topic, we contacted the customer support of dozens of these Elo Boosting websites. The most common requirement to become an Elo Booster (as we were told by these websites) is at least Masters 0 LP.

However, there was one website called BoostRoyal, they told us that they only hire Challenger players. The criteria for becoming an Elo Booster for BoostRoyal (according to their customer support) is Challenger Top 100 for NA and Challenger Top 50 for EUWest. Below is the conversation we had with their representative:Criteria to become an Elo Booster

You can apply for becoming an Elo Booster for BoostRoyal here.

P.S: We are not paid to promote any business or website. We are just showing the results of our research on Elo Boosting.

Conclusion

Elo Boosting is one of the easiest ways to rank up your League account if you have the cash to spend. Plus the chances of getting banned from this are almost zero, however, we suggest that you take professional coaching instead of Elo boosting because it will really help you grow as a player.

If you play Jungle, you know about the massive pool of champions that can fit themselves into this role. Each of them prefers different runes and performs different jobs. Yet, some runes are generally good on most jungle champions.

The best runes for Junglers include Fleet Footwork, Predator, Zombie Ward, Relentless Hunter, Nimbus Cloak, Waterwalking, Cosmic Insight, Celerity, Legend: Alacrity, Future’s Market, Conditioning, Hexflash, Ghost Poro, and Absolute Focus.

These runes provide general value independent of what champion you are playing. This means that these can be taken on most champions and you will gain value as long as you play the role properly. Let’s take a look at the runes that are best suited for junglers.

Best Keystones For Junglers

Fleet Footwork

Fleet Footwork is a very common rune among junglers that struggle with their health when clearing the jungle. While most other Keystones don’t provide any benefit in a PvE environment, Fleet is different. You can occasionally receive a small heal when you auto-attack a jungle monster, this allows you to maintain your HP to a reasonable level in case you get invaded or have to fight in the river.

Fleet also allows you to kite better and minimize downtime between two camps while moving across the map by providing you with movement speed. The key is to keep moving to build up stacks while kiting a camp. Graves is a good example when it comes to junglers that can utilize Fleet Footwork well.

Predator

This is the only other Keystone on the list after Fleet Footwork. Predator has been THE ganking rune for the longest time. If you are playing an off-meta jungler, this rune will also help you pull off ganks. With predator, you can base after your first clear and get boots as this will allow you to use the rune.

You can activate predator before showing up to a lane for a gank and the movement speed will allow you to catch up to most opponents. Some examples of junglers that take Predator are Skarner, Singed, and Morgana.

The Best Runes For Junglers In League Of Legends PredatorBest Runes For Junglers

Legend: Alacrity

Legend: Alacrity provides you increased Attack Speed as you continue stacking it until you hit 10 stacks for a total of 18% Bonus Attack Speed. You can simply stack it by killing jungle monsters, epic monsters (Like Rift Herald and Dragons) provide even more progress.

Attack Speed is really helpful when it comes to clearing the jungle as fast as possible. Jungling is a race and any stat that allows you to clear faster than your opponent will win you the race. Most champions that take Precision primary tree prefer to take this rune in the jungle.

Zombie Ward

Junglers can easily run all around the map and clear wards using Oracle Lens. Zombie ward allows you to benefit from the wards placed by your enemies by claiming them for yourself. Of course, with the added Adaptive Power that you gain from it, it becomes the best rune in the row for a jungler or support.

With Umbral Glaive in such a good state currently, taking Zombie Ward becomes even more rewarding. All it takes is one auto-attack from you (or two if it is a control ward) to clear it and gain some vision for yourself. Most junglers that go for Domination tree primary or secondary can opt into this rune.

Ghost Poro

While not as popular as Zombie Ward, Ghost Poro still offers a lot of value when it comes to warding as a jungler. Ghost Poro grants you vision of an area even after the ward itself expires until an enemy shows up on it. Early game, you want to put your wards where enemies will easily be able to walk over ghost poro to stack it faster.

Relentless Hunter

It is another great rune when your role relies on moving around the map and ganking. Supports and Junglers love this rune because it belongs to the same tree as Predator. Relentless Hunter allows you to move around the map faster and get things done faster.

Relentless Hunter is taken by junglers that need to gank a lot or simply have very low movement speed. This rune requires to be stacked by allows you to make plays all over the map.

The Best Runes For Junglers In League Of Legends Relentless HunterNimbus Cloak

Nimbus Cloak has been greatly nerfed ever since it was originally changed, but it is still one of the best runes for junglers. Nimbus Cloak provides you with a burst of movement speed whenever a summoner spell is used.

The idea is to smite the enemy champion while ganking to close the gap easily. You can also smite a lane minion or a monster to gain movement speed. If you are taking Sorcery tree secondary, you will definitely require this rune.

Celerity

Another one of those movement speed runes, but don’t worry, it’s the last one on the list. Celerity is a good rune to take if your champion relies on movement speed. It synergizes well with Nimbus Cloak, Ghost, Predator, Relentless Hunter, and even abilities that provide movement speed.

Absolute Focus

This rune provides you AD or AP based on the percentage of health you currently have. In the jungle, you are usually not at the risk of fighting a champion. Your health pool is not at risk of being depleted through poke and trading as it is in lanes. Having smite also allows you to retain a large portion of your health bar. This bonus AD/AP can help you clear faster and even retain this damage when ganking if you don’t get chunked.

Waterwalking

If there is any game in the rune that is made with junglers in mind, it is this rune. Waterwalking provides you movement speed and AD/AP, both of which are stats that a jungler loves. Keep in mind this bonus is only available while you are in the river. This makes early contests for scuttle crab much easier and also allows you to skirmish better.

Conditioning

Resolve is a popular tree among laners for its defensive runes that help you lane better. Second Wind or Boneplating allow you to survive the lane, but what if you don’t need either of those? Being a jungler grants you the freedom to take Conditioning, a scaling rune that provides Armor and Magic Resist.

Not having to lane in a PvP environment allows you to take scaling runes that allow you to get stronger while you clear jungle camps and wait to hit certain item breakpoints. This is a good rune for tank or bruiser junglers who need to be the frontline for their team.

Hexflash

Another rune loved by both Supports and Junglers. Hexflash allows you to cross walls and obstacles that you otherwise would not be able to cross. Some junglers don’t have the restriction of crossing over walls but for others, this rune provides a great way of ganking and even stealing objectives. Combined with Nimbus Cloak, Hexflash gives you a sudden gap closer against enemies that might not expect it.

Future’s Market

Jungling is all about efficiency. As you get to high elo, every second of your clear is crucial. Future’s Market allows you to hit item breakpoints much earlier and get you a headstart at a very small cost. Getting your mythic item or boots a minute earlier than the enemy jungler can be the deciding factor in a fight.

It is also helpful when you have to recall with a poor gold sum, or you end up getting killed before getting enough gold for an item. This rune covers most scenarios where you are lacking just a little gold to finish an important item.

Cosmic Insight

And the final rune on the list is Cosmic Insight. This rune gives you reduced summoner spell cooldown and item cooldown. Both of these stats are very important for junglers as they rely on these for ganks. A lower cooldown on your smite allows you to finish your jungle item much faster and get access to chilling or challenging smite.

The item cooldown can allow you to use items like Predator Boots, Zhonyas, and various other items more frequently during ganks. Overall, it is a good rune for junglers that need to quickly clear and start ganking as soon as possible.

General Rune Pages

The rune page you take depends a lot on what champion you are playing and what team composition you will be facing. However, there are certain rune pages that you can take if you are confused about your choice and would like runes that you can’t go wrong with.

The Jungle role has a vast variety of runes that can be taken depending on the champion you are playing. Some of those runes assist your clear speed, while some allow you to navigate the map faster. Choose your runes wisely based on the champions you will be facing and what is required by your champion to perform its job properly.

OP or overpowered is a commonly used term in League of Legends. It is often used in relation to a champion and even an item. The champions that are inherently stronger than the rest are said to be OP. It can be overwhelming to play against such champions.

If you were to name all of the overpowered champions in the game, it would probably need a lot more slots than a top 10 list can offer. We have purposefully not included a lot of the champions that are commonly thought to be overpowered.

The reason behind this is that we have tried to include the champions that have a decent play rate. The champions that get played rarely are not worth mentioning because they are seldom seen.

Every League of Legends player has a different perception of what he considers to be overpowered. So you are free to believe that other champions are more deserving of a spot on this list. At the same time, you can not deny that the champions mentioned below also fall in the OP category.

Also read: Most popular League of Legends champions

Darius

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends DariusTop lane is often categorized by having incredibly strong lane champions. Knowing this it says a lot when you see that Darius has always been the biggest bully of the top lane over the years. Darius is a champion that has a very high kill threat on any other champion in the game.

The champion is extremely strong as he has high damage, self-healing, and an ultimate ability with outrageous damage. Darius can kill the entire enemy team on his if starts getting ultimate resets. Moreover, Darius gets a massive attack damage boost from his passive. This allows him to focus on making defensive items and be incredibly hard to kill for the enemy team.

Irelia

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends IreliaIrelia is a champion that has the potential to win any lane matchup. The more mechanically gifted you are in League of Legends, the bigger menace you become as an Irelia player. She is also a flex pick as she can be played in both solo lanes and is even seen in the bot lane from time to time.

The champion has high sustain in lane, insanely high mobility, and extremely high kill threat. Although bruiser champions are able to match her high all-in potential, when she goes to the mid-lane there is rarely anyone that can compete with her. She also scales better than most champions.

Zed

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends ZedThe reason why Zed makes it into this list of OP champions is his lane prowess and potential to dominate the game. Under normal circumstances, he wins all lane matchups against mages pretty easily. Against champions such as Irelia, while Zed is not an out-and-out winner, he is not the loser either. (Adipex)

Zed also has the ability to roam and not let the enemy team’s side lanes have any success in the game. His roaming is effective as has high mobility and multiple gap close abilities as well. His ability to get on top of the enemy carries and delete them also makes him impossible to deal with in team fights.

Yone

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends YoneYone is an absurd champion to play against. He is a strong laner that has decent kill threat on a lot of champions once he gets access to his ultimate. That is not however his main strength. Yone is one of the best scaling champions in the game.

Once he gets his core items, Yone can kill the entire enemy team on his own while staying safe himself via a combination of “Soul Unbound” with his ultimate. He is safe because he can go back to his original position at any time he wishes. Yone also has incredibly high DPS, constant shields, and airbornes available to him.

Yasuo

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends YasuoYasuo is similar to Yone in a lot of ways. He has constant shields, incredibly high DPS, and knocks up all targets in a line on every third cast of “Steel Tempest”. Yasuo also has high mobility, much like Yone, and can kill multiple people on his own as long as he is able to land knock-ups.

Furthermore, he has the “Windwall”, an ability that blocks all projectiles. Yasuo can essentially make range champions completely useless for some seconds. He is difficult to stop as skill shots are hard to land on him due to his mobility and he can block the other abilities with the Windwall.

Leona

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends LeonaIt is a well-known fact that supports direct the flow of the game at the bot lane. The reason is that supports are the champions with the tools to make plays and ADCs follow up on those plays. This is also why Leona is such a titan in the bot lane.
Leona is a literal truck of crowd control. She is impossibly tanky herself and has three different crowd control spells. Other support champs find it hard to match something so direct and overwhelming. She also dominates teamfights by having unmatched engage potential with her ultimate.

Thresh is a support that is able to match her in the lane and in team fights. The problem is he has a very high skill ceiling if you wish to be effective.

Viego

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends ViegoViego is arguably one of the best blind pick junglers in the game. He is also a timeless champion as his kit is well-rounded and efficient. You have excellent jungle clear, creative gank pathing, and the potential to carry the game on your own.

Virgo is a big problem for the enemy team even without being ahead in the game. He is able to get constant resets and the ability to play the enemy champions to kill their own team. Being fed when the enemy team has Viego can end up backfiring pretty easily.

Fiora

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends FioraA champion that has non-stop dashes and healing, the ability to block incoming crowd control, and deals a ton of true damage. Fiora is devastating when put in the right hands. Fiora has no clear losing matchups in the lane. She out scales a majority of bruisers and cuts through tanks effortlessly.

Fiora much like Irelia depends a lot on the player’s ability to pilot her effectively. You need to be able to use “Riposte” efficiently and find continuous hits on vital points to utilize Fiora to the highest capacity. If you are able to do so, this champion has the power to be unstoppable.

Katarina

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends KatarinaKatarina possesses insanely high damage and mobility. She stands out from the other assassins by having the ability to deal abnormally high amounts of area of effect damage. Whereas assassins normally focus their damage on single targets. Also, if you keep picking up daggers and getting takedowns Katarina has virtually no cooldowns.

A champion with no cooldowns is virtually unstoppable. Furthermore, you can take almost any build path on the champion. Katarina scales with attack damage as well as ability power and oftentimes you see bruiser builds as well. You can go for whichever build you find to be better suited for the game.

Seraphine

Top 10 Most Overpowered (OP) Champions in League of Legends SeraphineSeraphine is just a very efficient champion. She is easy to play and effective. This champion is strong enough that is constantly being played in three different roles and has a good win rate in each of them. Even in professional play, Seraphine is often a high-priority pick.

She offers excellent support to her team for multiple reasons. Seraphine can constantly buff her own team and heal them. She can charm the entire enemy team and also hit them with crowd controls all the while staying well away from danger herself.

Final Thoughts

We have tried to include overpowered champions of all roles in the above-mentioned list. The only role that did not get any representation is the ADC. This is because ADCs on their own are very rarely oppressive. The support matchup is the deciding factor of an ADCs strength in the game.

In the top 10, we have tried to include the champions that have the simplest game plan. The simpler a champion is to execute, the more effective it is. These champions are also the ones that commonly dominate games all on their own.

Having said that, for any champion to be overpowered the player themselves have to be piloting them at an appreciative level.

Check out our following article that will help you find your best one for all champ.

League of Legends champions have various differences, one of which is the secondary resource bar. While most champions in the game rely on mana to cast their skills, some champions are not limited by this resource. They may have a different type of secondary resource or simply not have a secondary resource at all.

Manaless champions do not rely on mana to cast their abilities. They may have secondary resource bars that cover the cost of their abilities or simply enhance their abilities. The Top 10 Best Manaless Champions in League of Legends are Aatrox, Bel’Veth, Gnar, Lee Sin, Rengar, Riven, Tryndamere, Viego, Vladimir, and Yone.

Manaless champions are balanced around their lack of secondary resources, depriving them of some builds (Manamune, Fimbulwinter, etc). These champions usually have weaker abilities or longer cooldowns to compensate for this lack of reliance.

Aatrox

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends AatroxAatrox has very polarizing opinions among the community. Some players simply love playing a resourceless champion that benefits from omnivamp, while others hate facing him because of his obnoxious healing.

  • Aatrox’s strength lies in his ability to heal large amounts of HP based on the damage dealt by his abilities. His Q covers different distances and briefly knocks up opponents, interrupting channels. His E allows him to move over terrain and his W sets him up for a triple Q combo.
  • Aatrox’s biggest weakness is his reliance on area-targeted abilities to deal damage. His Q roots him in place during the animation and can be sidestepped because of its slow cast time. A lot of champions can simply walk out of his W. Grievous Wounds also reduce his strength in fights.

Bel’Veth

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends Bel’VethBel’Veth is a recent addition to the game and has seen a wide variety of play in low elo because of her stacking passive. Bel’Veth occasionally appears in professional play but is much more prevalent in Solo Queue.

  • Bel’Veth can infinitely stack her attack speed using her passive, making her a strong scaling champion. Her E provides her massive damage reduction for a short duration. Her Q offers her a lot of mobility in battle.
  • Bel’Veth’s E is a very long cooldown in the early game and without it, she does not have any way of defending herself. She is not strong without her passive stacks, especially when she is not in her true form.

Gnar

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends GnarGnar has been a problematic matchup for a lot of top laners. He has a lot of poke in his ranged form and good engage tools in his melee form. He has also had a lot of presence in professional play.

  • Gnar in his ranged form gains a lot of movement speed that allows him to continue poking you down with his Q and auto attacks. His E can always take him to safety. In melee form, Mega Gnar has amazing stats and great engage tools. Gnar’s ultimate has a short cooldown and can singlehandedly turn a teamfight around.
  • Gnar is extremely squishy in his ranged form and is prone to ganks when his E is down. If he fails to catch his Q, it goes on a fairly long cooldown. Mega Gnar has a massive hitbox and lacks movement speed, unlike his mini form.

Lee Sin

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends Lee SinLee Sin has always managed to sneak into the meta for many years now. He has had a massive presence in League of Legends esports. He is also a popular jungler in Solo Queue because of his outplay mechanics.

  • Lee Sin gains attack speed from his passive whenever he uses his abilities. All of his basic abilities can be recast for additional effects. His Q lets him jump to a target and deal execute damage. He can shield his opponents with his W. His R can be combined with Flash or Ward Jump to kick an enemy towards his teammates.
  • Lee Sin relies on his R and Q to make plays in teamfights. He does not achieve much if he misses these abilities. He can also find himself in the middle of the enemy team if he misses his Q after an insec.

Rengar

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends RengarRengar is probably the most popular assassin in the game. Junglers of all elo love to play this champion because of his damage and mobility. He can also build a lot of different items according to his requirements.

  • Rengar has a lot of damage built into his kit because of his double Q. He can heal a large amount of health using his W which counters burst damage. He can also cleanse CC with his empowered W. His E provides vision of his target and can root when empowered.
  • Rengar relies on brushes to leap to his target and has no way of gap closing outside of his ultimate. His Q is the only burst tool he has outside of his ultimate, so any champion that can tank his damage and lock him down with CC can easily deal with him.

Riven

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends RivenRiven is a champion that relies on Ability Haste. Her ability provide her with enough mobility to choose her engages carefully and escape when required. Her slippery nature makes her an annoying champion to lane against.

  • Riven’s Q not only deals damage to her target but also moves her in the target direction. Her Q3 can knock up opponents and even jump over terrain. Her E allows her to dash in the target direction and gain a shield. Her W acts as an AoE stun that can be added to her Q combo.
  • Riven has fairly long cooldowns in the early game, she can be punished for running out of Qs. Her W stuns her opponents but also locks her in place for the animation for a brief moment. Champions that can mitigate/tank her entire combo will be in a good position to capitalize on her cooldowns.

Tryndamere

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends TryndamereTryndamere is a nightmare champion for a lot of top laners. His ultimate is one of the most powerful abilities in the game, and combined with his glass cannon nature, makes him a beast when ahead.

  • Tryndamere is annoying to trade with in the early game because he can gain crit chance starting Level 1. If he can stack his secondary bar, he can win a lot of early 1v1s. His E can allow him to dash away after the trade, and it can be combined with his Flash. After the lane, Tryndamere becomes a side-lane menace.
  • Tryndamere is fairly squishy at every stage of the game. He has a heal on his Q but outside of that, he does not really have any form of damage reduction and usually builds completely glass cannon. Enemies can bait his ultimate and temporarily disengage. Most of his damage is based on auto attacks and can be countered by armor items.

Viego

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends ViegoViego’s release led to a large uproar in the community about newer champions having “too much” in their kits. In Viego’s case, it was every single champion’s basic abilities that he could utilize by getting a takedown on them and taking their soul. He has been nerfed multiple times to reduce his impact in Solo Queue and Professional Play.

  • Viego’s abilities apply a mark on his targets, consuming it with auto attacks deals additional damage and applies on-hit effects again. His auto attacks deal %current HP damage to his target. He can possess champions that he assists in taking down, healing some health upon possession, and gaining all basic abilities of the possessed champion.
  • Viego is not very strong in teamfights if he does not get possession, as his damage depends on the number of enemies he can take down and possess. Most of his damage is based on auto attacks and he isn’t inherently tanky, so he can not afford to take a beating from teamfighting champions.

Vladimir

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends VladimirVladimir is an amazing example of a manaless champion. His only resource is his health bar which he can fill up using his abilities. Vladimir’s secondary resource bar keeps track of his empowered Q stacks, allowing him to plan for an empowered Q on enemy champions.

  • Vladimir’s Q allows him to sustain in the lane from champions and minions. His E is a great waveclear tool but requires some points in it to be effective. His W is his defensive ability that allows him to become untargetable, providing him an escape from ganks. His ultimate is a great teamfighting tool that increases his damage and heals him after a short period.
  • Vladimir has very long cooldowns in the early game. His W takes a large chunk of his HP, so forcing it out can count as a won trade for the enemy. His E provides little waveclear in the early game. His ultimate is somewhat short range and takes a while to heal him.

Yone

Top 10 Best Manaless Champions In League Of Legends YoneYone is very similar to Yasuo in multiple aspects of his gameplay. While Yasuo’s secondary resource bar indicates the charge for his shield, Yone’s resource bar is essentially useless. His abilities scale well with AD and provide him with enough mobility to stick to his target.

  • Yone’s Q cooldown scales with attack speed, it allows him to stack Lethal Tempo very quickly. He gains 2.5x the critical strike chance of any normal champion, so he only requires two finished items to get 100% Crit chance. His Q and auto attacks can both crit. He deals a portion of the damage done during his E as true damage at the end of the duration.
  • Yone lacks AD and Crit chance in the early game, outside of Lethal Tempo, he does not have a major source of damage in his kit. He always snaps back to his original location after using E, which can allow the enemy to trap him. His Q is a skillshot that has a narrow hitbox, so it can be sidestepped.

Conclusion

Mana is a very important resource in League of Legends, but not every champion will depend on it. Manaless champions are either balanced around a secondary resource, or simply lack a secondary resource bar. These are unique in their own way and offer different ways of utilizing the champion’s kit.
